چکیده

Abstract A 58‐year‐old man was referred to our hospital with right abdominal pain. Contrast‐enhanced computed tomography (CECT) showed a rim‐enhanced lesion fluid collection in the hepatic lobe. Upper gastrointestinal endoscopy revealed Borrmann type 1 tumor on middle gastric body, identified as an adenocarcinoma pathology. The patient underwent percutaneous transhepatic abscess drainage and treated antibiotics. Two weeks after drainage, CECT shrinkage of abscess; however, wall contrast enhancement. Needle biopsy performed for liver tumor, it suggested possibility highly differentiated hepatocellular carcinoma. first gastrectomy, followed CECT. months surgery, that had vanished. Liver abscesses infectious tumors can be difficult differentiate between; therefore, careful scrutiny is essential before treatment.

Hepatic Angiomyolipoma Mimicking Hepatocellular Carcinoma

Hepatic angiomyolipoma (HAML) is a rare mesenchymal tumor of the liver with marked histological diversity. The present study was to review the magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) and clinical pathological features of HAML resembling hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). Nine patients who underwent surgical resection and had pathological diagnosis of HAML were retrospectively analyzed. All of 9 patients ...

Giant Hepatic Angiomyolipoma Mimicking Hepatocellular Carcinoma

Angiomyolipomas (AMLs) are a benign mesenchymal tumor that typically occurs in the kidney and very rare in the liver. Even though these tumors can be diagnosed with imaging tecniques, diagnosis mainly relies on pathological findings. Because AMLs can mimic other hepatic tumors such as hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) on radiologic images due to some of the features. We presented a giant hepatic A...

Hepatic inflammatory pseudotumor mimicking hepatocellular carcinoma.

Inflammatory pseudotumor of the liver is a rare tumor. It has variable clinical presentations and image findings. It can mimic benign or malignant hepatic tumors, and may be difficult to diagnose. We present a case in which a hepatic inflammatory pseudotumor was misdiagnosed as hepatocellular carcinoma because the tumor presented a typical enhancing profile and morphology of hepatocellular carc...

Hepatic adrenal rest tumor mimicking hepatocellular carcinoma

Adrenal rest tumor in liver is a very rare tumor. It originates from an adrenal rest, which is derived from the aberrant adrenocortical tissue. Adrenal rest tumor is an ectopic collection of adrenocortical cells in extra-adrenal sites. This tumor may be hormonally active and manifest endocrine syndromes. But, most tumors are non-functioning and benign. Histologically, hepatic adrenal rest tumor...
